TurboTax does not store online any returns completed using the desktop editions. If you used the desktop CD/Download editions installed on your computer, the only copy of your tax data file and any PDF's will be on the computer where the return was created. To access your prior year online tax returns sign onto the TurboTax website with the User ID you used to create the account. You can download a PDF of the tax returns yourself. And then when they call, they'll pass you from rep to rep, each of whom have you do the same thing the previous rep did, and it's infuriating. If you want to speak with someone, you have to schedule a call which can be 4 days from when you want to speak with someone. I have never felt as angry with a company as I am currently with Intuit and TurboTax. They'll communicate through a chat feature, but the chats disappear within a few days, so again, unless you take screen shots, you have no record of communication. Each one made promise after promise knowing that as soon as they hung up with me, I'd have no way to ever contact them again. Every rep I spoke with had no idea how the site worked, so 10-20-30 years worth of tax experience meant absolutely nothing because they were all seasonal workers (working from home) who don't know how to use the TurboTax site to amend a return. I'm not exaggerating when I say it took 8 reps over 7 weeks to figure out how to amend my taxes. This of course resulted in my account being debited $942. TurboTax filed my taxes, but did not enter my Local Tax of $942 as being paid, even though it was clearly on my W-2. TurboTax reps DO NOT know their own website or product
